Ahmed Elsabbagh, MD, MS, MRCS, PhD is an Associate Professor, Liver transplant and Hepatopancreatobiliary (HPB) surgeon at Gastrointestinal Surgery and Liver Transplantation Center, Mansoura University, Egypt, one of the top centers in Living Donor Liver Transplantation. Formerly, he served as an Associate Professor, Multi-Organ Transplant and HPB surgeon at St. Vincent hospital, Indianapolis, USA. He is an active member in many international transplant societies, the vice president of the Egyptian Liver Transplant Society, a member of Living Donation Committee in American Society of Transplant Surgeons (ASTS) and a member of Royal College of Surgeons of England. He served in International Pediatric Transplant Association (IPTA) Education Committee. He was recently nominated for The Transplantation Society (TTS) Councilor at Large for Middle East/Africa.
He has extensive experience in the field of Transplantation. He gained experience in USA at Cleveland Clinic, Mount Sinai Medical Center, Henry Ford Hospital and, Georgetown University Transplant Institute where he finished American Society of transplant Surgeons (ASTS) accredited 2-year Multi-organ Transplant/HPB Surgery Fellowship. Dr. Elsabbagh is a strong professional who has received nationally and internationally recognized awards in the field of Transplantation. He authored articles in professional journals and presented his work at many meetings and conferences. He has special interest in ERAS pathways in solid organ transplant, microbiome, pediatric and living donor liver transplant and medical education. His vision includes outreach to developing countries in Africa and middle east to improve the outcome and access to liver transplantation. Dr. Elsabbagh has been involved in many transplant-related educational activities in North America and Middle East.

Dr. Ahmed Marwan joined the digestive disease institute (DDI) transplant institute -Cleveland Clinic main campus in 2014, after which he earned his doctorate degree and he joined DDI and transplant institute at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi UAE as a Clinical Assistant Professor of internal medicine in 2018 and served in as a gastroenterologist and transplant hepatologist while the program was being launched.
Dr. Marwan participated in many international and national transplant meetings and received many international awards. Dr. Marwan is an active member of many international transplant , GI & liver societies. His main professional interests in posttransplant NAFLD and immunosuppression minimization and graft survival.
Dr. Marwan received his medical degree from Mansoura university and he is currently serving as an Associate professor and attending staff physician in gastroenterology and hepatology unit and liver transplant team, Mansoura college of medicine ,Mansoura university

Mervat Gamal Eldin Mansour is a professor of pediatrics and pediatric critical care in the Faculty of Medicine at Ain Shams University. She graduated with honors, in December 1997. at Ain Shams University, in November 2006, she obtained her Medical Doctorate Degree (M.D) in the field of pediatric critical care. Dr. Mervat Gamal believes in incorporating pediatric critical care management techniques, into the multidisciplinary medical approaches in pediatrics in hopes of delivering comprehensive care that addresses as many pediatric patients’ needs as possible. In addition, she is very passionate about the idea of training junior pediatricians, as she sees that it is one of the most crucial parts of being able to assemble a future team of competent and effective pediatricians in the post-operative care domain of pediatrics in Egypt.
Dr. Mervat Gamal is a leading professor in the post-operative pediatric critical care field, since 2010. Subsequently, in 2013, she joined the Wadi El Nile liver transplantation team, where she started learning and practicing post- liver transplant pediatric critical care. She worked alongside renowned surgeons in Egypt, such as Dr. Mahmoud El Metiny and Dr. Amr Abdelaal at Ain Shams University, surgeons in France, such as Dr. Olivier Boillot at Hospices Civils de Lyon, and surgeons in England, such as Dr. Magdy Attia at Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. Moreover, during 3 years at the Air Force Specialized Hospital, in addition to her work at Wadi El Nile hospital, since 2013, she was able to develop her knowledge and medical applications to ultimately work on combined liver and kidney cases, re-transplantation cases and acute fulminant liver cell failure cases, as well as supporting a multitude of transplanted children in need of critical care management, at any instance during their life course.
Since 2019, she started a program which tackles post-operative cardiac critical care, where she leads the post-cardiac pediatric intensive care unit in the Heart and Thoracic surgery Academy of Ain Shams University.
Dr. Mervat Gamal has published around 20 scientific research papers that discuss hemodynamic and ventilatory management of pediatric critical care patients under different circumstances, while trying to merge both updated, developing management techniques and Egypt’s available resources.

ended his MD degree 2011 in pediatric Hepatology, then then pass the exam of the membership of the Royal college of pediatrics and child health (MRCPCH).
Dr. Barakat is an acting member (Transplant Heptologist) in Liver Transplantation team, Mansoura University.
Dr. Barakat is interested in medical education, he conducted many courses (in different Egyptian governerats) for pediatricians especially in the field of Gastroenterology and Hepatology.

Prof. Imam Ragab is currently a Professor of Pediatrics and Pediatric Hematology Oncology, Ain-Shams University.
17 years experience in pediatric hematology oncology clinical and research work. 28 international publications and 38 international conference publications, 40 national publications, shared in many national teaching programs to raise awareness for hematologic and oncologic emergencies and care in children. Shared in international clinical trials in iron chelation and hemophilia prophylaxis. Site PI neonatal of international purpura fulminans registry. One of the founder of many sub-specialized clinic in Ain Shams university, hemophilia prophylaxis clinic, vascular anomalies combined clinic , retinoblastoma combined clinic and brain tumor combined clinic. Share in organizing committee of Egyptian Society of Pediatric Hematology Oncology (ESPHO) yearly conference and teaching workshops.
